I joined Etsy

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven’t updated in awhile. Within the next week I plan on posting a new vegetarian recipe! I got a really nice Kitchenmade mixer from my mother, and I am just itching to use it!

Okay, so on April 14 I started my very own Etsy shop. I made a sale on the first day, and sold two more recently to my sister’s friend. It feels so good to have people enjoy my art. I have been painting like crazy to try to get my shop some more business. However, recently it’s been dry, and I still haven’t cracked the mystery of getting my name out there.

I just got done reading about a chocolate mousse that requires no eggs. I didn’t think this was possible, but apparently it works. I will try it and tell you guys if it is any good.

Since I am taking a semester off from school, I have been doing a lot of “house wife” type things including: baking, cooking dinner, cleaning house, grocery shopping, etc. and I really enjoy it! I feel like I am taking good care of my husband, and that just make me feel good inside. He goes to work from 8-5, so it is nice to be able to do everything at home for him! I really don’t know what I want to do with my life (job wise.) I started out wanting to be an architect, then onto owning a coffee shop, and then I landed in photography. I am still not really sure what I should do. I have always been a very indecisive person. Photography is a passion of mine though, and I plan to pursue it. Of course, I said that about owning a coffee shop….hehe.

Today was a really good day. I had a massage in one of those lovely massage chair things, cleaned the kitchen, played World of Warcraft, started watching Lost (so many cliff hangers!), and Ryan took me to get the BEST milkshakes at Kaizers. It is this little diner in downtown that is all old school. They had home made chocolate icecream, along with several other flavors! I got mine with chocolate icecream, real bananas, and banana syrup. I ate the whole thing! It was so delicious, and so thick I had to eat it with a spoon. It felt just right. Being with Ryan is always the best. He has the most lovely ideas, and I like that we do spontaneous things, like getting milkshakes at 6 o’clock. After the milkshakes we came home and played video games and later just watched some 30 Rock. It was a relaxing evening! Tomorrow we are going back home to pick up some more stuff to move in. I am really excited about that. I miss my old town, family, and friends!

Well, I realize this sort of started out as a cooking blog, and then just became my random thoughts about the day, but that’s okay right? Plus, I still added some food into this! That is one fine looking milkshake!

Well, if you didn’t know, I just got married last month! We had a beautiful wedding at his parents house! My hot husband is named Ryan, and he is smart, handsome, nice….the whole package! He has a job, but I am still in college. I am majoring in photography! (flickr.com/yahidontknow) Taking pictures is my passion! I can’t afford a super nice camera right now, but I do have a Nikon D40 which I think is amazing! Hmm, I don’t have a lot of friends, but that is because I have a few really close ones! Casey, being my best friend!  I have known her since 3rd grade! Hmm, so not only to I enjoy photography, but I also love to paint! I will have to post some of my artwork on here sometime! My other hobbies are drinking coffee and play World of Warcraft….yeah I am a nerd! hehe I love to game though! I have a Nintendo Wii and a Playstation II, but I would like to get an XBOX 360! Left 4 Dead FTW!
